31 Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
Scripture Quote: My son, eat honey, for it is good, and the drippings of the honeycomb are sweet to your taste. Know that wisdom is such to your soul; if you find it, there will be a future, and your hope will not be cut off. Proverbs 24:13-14 (ESV)
Sometimes, when your future is feeling ambiguous and you are afraid because you don’t know what to do next, faith in God can waver. During those times, it’s easy to forget that God does understand how uncertain your life seems. But our Father God knows your needs at all times. It is during these stressful periods that you must cling to the truth in His Word. The bible tells us in Psalm 32:8, “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.”
So stay in His Word. Direct your thoughts to hearing His voice through the verses you read. Satan would whisper lies to you so that your fear builds and consumes your thoughts. But there is peace and rest in God’s Word. Your direction can be found in the bible because He speaks to us when we earnestly seek out His wisdom and truth.
Today’s meditation: God is always near.
Memory Verse: For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11(ESV)
