Scripture Quote: Offer praise to God our Savior because of our Lord Jesus Christ! Only God can keep you from falling and make you pure and joyful in his glorious presence. Before time began and now and forevermore, God is worthy of glory, honor, power, and authority. Amen. (Jude 1:24)
The Law Moses gave the people could not pardon, or sanctify. It was the rule of righteousness, so it had to condemn unrighteousness, which was its unalterable nature. If there had been perfect obedience to its dictates, instead of condemning, it would have rewarded. However, our cardinal and rebellious behaviors prevailed and it was rendered weak. So, because of God's unspeakable love for the sinner, He devised the perfect solution to the flaws in The Law of Moses.
God's provision for the sinner is without boundary in that there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. God's provision did not find the sinner innocent, because we are not, but He threw the penalty for sin out when His son was sacrificed to pay the price for sin. We are washed by the blood of the only innocent man to ever live. Through Christ's sacrificial death we are made perfect in God's sight. Oh, how God lavishes His love on us!
Today’s meditation: Jesus gave everything for our redemption.
Memory Verse: God gives peace, and he raised our Lord Jesus Christ from death. Now Jesus is like a Great Shepherd whose blood was used to make God's eternal agreement with his flock. Hebrews 13:20
