Scripture Quote: God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, so that what you hope for may be fully realized. Hebrews 6:10-11 (NIV)
Once God makes a promise, because of His righteousness and justice, He will keep it. He has promised to reward every good work and labor of love and He will reward us. But each good work must originate from faith in God and have love for its motive. It is His Spirit at work in us that compels us to be generous to those in need and to love them with His love in us. As Christians we can demonstrate Christ's love through our actions far more dramatically than through our speech.
Believers can earnestly pursue justice and compassion as a goal to offer up to God. With an active faith and a laboring love, we can please the God of our hearts. We are all sinners and don't really deserve our salvation and the extreme love of the Father. Nevertheless, we are blessed beyond measure by the blood of the Savior. This precious gift can be shared by being open about our faith to the nonbeliever and by loving others in the name of God.
Today’s meditation: Never tire of showing love and doing good.
Memory Verse: And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13 (NIV)
