Life was mute – Few rainbows.
And there were only puny, fleeting sunsets.
No time to notice anything, too many goals.
Too busy - Numb to love’s ever-flowing rhythm.
Trees and flowers swayed, giving beauty to each day.
So what?
God’s perfect truth, His essence – Was a distant myth.
My dead, stone heart knew better.
Life was for self, snatching moments, surviving.
The entire world can not comfort one heart void of hope.
So what?
Busyness is foolishness – More unstable than whirlwinds.
Worse even than mere falsity, wherein dwells the evil one.
Funny - He knew me well enough to swear he'd won me with his shinny dime.
So What?
So everything - At least according to the author of this universe!
God could not abide my anguish.
He sent his answer even before I knew it.
Already bought and paid – Victory in Jesus!
My God who knew and claimed me - His own from the first.
He who sails thru dark clouds, extending His mighty hand -
Inviting all to Himself, beyond rainbows, beyond sunsets,
Thank God for His perfect love which sweetens all of life. Where music plays a chorus within all hearts to hear.
And each sight and sound beams bright with promise.
Grace and mercy transform all who would come –
Risk all; lay it down alone – And Then rise anew with Him. Everlasting and incomparably dear – Your Heart’s renewal!
