Indwelling Spirit

Scripture Reading: Exodus 33:13-19

Scripture Quote: “I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.” Ezekiel 36:25-27 (NIV)

Christian, desire total integration, body, soul and spirit, with God's Holy Spirit, which is often referred to as clean or flowing water. Don't misunderstand, I know that we are born again believers who have been baptized in the Spirit of Christ. He lives within us and the bounty of that is inexplicable. His Spirit is the power behind our faith and trust in Him. He does it all for us, if we only believe the size of a mustard seed.

The more we surrender our wills to God, the more He fills us with love, joy, peace and all the fruit of His Spirit. It's a true mystery how we could ever sin against so good a God and so loving a Savior. We were bought by Christ's own blood - Ponder the pain and total submission of our beloved Jesus. There is no greater, more precious love than that of our Father, God. Only through His continued indwelling can we learn to leave the path of sin to walk the narrow way with Him.
