Faith is the Main Ingredient

Scripture Quote: But Jesus said, "Someone touched me; I know that power has gone out from me." Then the woman, seeing that she could not go unnoticed, came trembling and fell at his feet. In the presence of all the people, she told why she had touched him and how she had been instantly healed. Then he said to her, "Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace." Luke 8:46-48 (NIV)
Power to heal didn't always emanate from Christ so that it could be stolen at a touch. If miraculous power just flowed out of Jesus, then all who touched him must have been blessed partakers of His power. Out of all the people that touched Jesus in the crowd that encircled Him as He spoke, only this one woman was the beneficiary of His great healing power. Ever wonder why?
Faith alone attracts God's attention. The woman was completely confident that if she could just reach out in faith and touch Jesus' robe, His Divine Power would heal her illness - She had no doubt. But Jesus wanted to give her more than healing of her illness. He wanted her to admit her action and be granted His full attention. When she fell to his feet in total submission, He granted her His verbal affirmation that her faith had healed her. He also wanted faith in the hearts of others around them to be increased as a result of her healing.
Today’s meditation: Faith attracts God into relationship with us.
Memory Verse: Jeremiah 33:6b (NIV) "I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security."
