Far from being sage evangelists, Christians, whether laymen or leaders, begin as infants in Christ. We do progress, but actually remain inferior followers, employed under our superior Savior, Jesus Christ - He alone is our Messiah, from whom we receive our calling. All the mysteries, illumination, and purification of our souls is by His Holy Spirit. He has entrusted us with Divine Truth and expects that we will be faithful in our obedience to His precepts, as we live in the great expectation of His return. We must be ready, because Jesus will come at an hour when we do not expect Him, (Mat. 24:44).
 
We are Christ's joyful servants who delight in increasing wisdom and prudence, sharing our nourishment with others. So in a certain way, we are all ministers of the Gospel, who depend on the providence of our Heavenly Father, as we proclaim the good news of the Kingdom of God. When our Savior returns, all false doctrine will pass away. God will show the world that His Word, and that alone, will stand.
 
Today’s meditation: We are servants called to proclaim God’s truth.

Lejos de ser evangelistas sabios, los cristianos, ya sean laicos o líderes, comienzan como niños en Cristo. God’s Peace

Communion with Jesus gives us clarity and affirms how to live with strength of character and devotion to the Devine. A relationship with our Savior is worth whatever personal adjustments we must make. We can choose to resist the enemy and make a sincere effort to live a godly life, even when the walk can sometimes seem solitary. So then how do we deal with the televised murder of our policemen? And, what is a Christian to think of radical Islamic brutes butchering their women or further feeding their voracious and indiscriminate brutality by slaughtering whomever doesn’t believe in their abominable Islam?
 
Do those things make you feel especially peaceful? Christ said that He would give us peace that was not like the peace the world offers. That is the peace we must cling to even in our despair over innocents being ravished by evil men. We must seek His peace by understanding that there are things that are completely out of our control. What we can do, however, is we can pray and we can hope - The rest is up to God!
 
Today’s meditation: In the face of evil, stand strong in God’s peace.

But the gate to life is very narrow. The road that leads there is so hard to follow that only a few people find it. Matthew 7:13-14 (CEV)
 
How blessed humanity would have been if we had lived from the beginning for the plan and purpose for which God created us. We'd be happy in the garden and with the dominion of all the creatures God had provided. But as it is, Christians who have received Christ are no longer desperately wicked, but we all slip at times as we transgress and disregard the boundaries God has stipulated for us. How much easier things would be if God had only not given us free will - Ah, but He did, and we must somehow fit ours through that narrow gate!
 
Our behavior directly demonstrates our commitment to God's Laws. We tend to try and complicate that fact, but nothing could be plainer - We are to love God above all else and others at least as much as we love ourselves. If we can capture that mind set, we can then avoid selfishness and inappropriate idols - We can endeavor to make the immortality of our soul and the existence of God’s invisible reality our primary focus, embracing our free will, as we yield it and our slip ups to our Father's merciful forgiveness.
 
Today’s meditation: Love God, His Word, and others above all else.

Qué bendita humanidad habría sido si hubiéramos vivido desde el principio para el plan y el propósito para el cual Dios nos creó. Christians can be funny people - We reach out and want to help others in their time of need, but recoil when others wish to help us when the tables are turned. We always think that we can handle trouble on our own. But God did not design us to be autonomous. Think of the paralyzed man who had four friends dig through a roof to lower his mat down to where Jesus was healing. And there was also Johnathan who came to his friend, David's, aid by helping him run to safety from King Saul who wanted to kill him. Abram helped his nephew, Lot, escape when he had been taken in battle. In short, many people helped each other in the stories of the Bible.
 
Friends and family want to minister to us during our rough times. We should allow them to help us in practical ways like picking up groceries, straightening up our house, or by fixing a meal for us. These small gestures are acts of love and compassion that, as fellow members of our church body, they have the right to offer and the need to be accepted. We must know how to give, but also how to receive the emotional support and practical acts of love from our church body.
 
Today’s meditation: If we can’t receive, we steal the giver’s joy.

The evil in our world will one day disappear like a bad dream is cut off by wakefulness. Only supernatural support will be available and only God's chosen will be renewed by Christ' power. During our journey through various joys and trials in our lifetimes, we will only truly understand how short lived it all is after we are able to compare our lifespans to eternity. Our perspectives are puny now and all we know is the short time we have experienced. But our time on earth could be compared to a minute point that is too tiny to measure, as opposed to something that has no end and can't be measured due to its enormity.
 
The Bible tells us that we may be hard pressed on every side, but we are not crushed. We may be very confused, but we need not despair. There will be an end to our suffering, no matter how hard our trials try to overcome us, we have only to endure them for a time - We will emerge matured and strengthened. In the meantime, our faith affords us wonderful blessings and more solid comforts than anything the world offers. We are Christ’s and He is ours - Our faith will be honored by Jesus when time stops and He welcomes all of His faithful home.
 
Today’s meditation: Look ahead to your forever home with Jesus.

El mal en nuestro mundo desaparecerá algún día como un sueño malo es cortado por la vigilia. Solo el apoyo sobrenatural estará disponible y solo los elegidos de Dios serán renovados por el poder de Cristo. Durante nuestro viaje a través de varias alegrías y pruebas en nuestras vidas, solo entenderemos verdaderamente cuán efímero es todo después de que podamos comparar nuestras vidas a la eternidad. Fools Are Made Wise

Just how foolish a person is depends on the degree to which they resist the instruction of God's Word. They can be naive, or just oppose truth and deliberately scoff at all things Christian. We come across all kinds of opposition to our faith in this world. Christians are deeply aware that God's Ways are much higher than ours and He is trustworthy and willing to help us through life’s trials - But there are actually those who can look at God's visible creation and not see His eternal power and deity - They just don’t get God at all. 
 
The nonbeliever doesn't respect God's authority over their lives. All instruction from God's Word is foolishness to their hardened heart. Christians have accepted God's sovereignty and His right to rule over His creation. We can ask Him to remove any rebellion or confusion in our hearts. Although we can't completely comprehend His Glory, we do know that He is Lord God Almighty. He makes the heart of the simple wise and the lost found. As we receive God’s instruction and grace, he molds and shapes our lives into something beautiful.
 
Today’s meditation: Pray for the scoffers, that they may know God.
 
Memory Verse: The law of the LORD is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple.

Lo tonto que es una persona depende del grado en que resista la instrucción de la Palabra de Dios. Pueden ser ingenuos, o simplemente oponerse a la verdad y burlarse deliberadamente de todo lo que sea cristiano. Nos encontramos con todo tipo de oposición a nuestra fe en este mundo. Los cristianos han aceptado la soberanía de Dios y su derecho a gobernar sobre su creación. Podemos pedirle que elimine cualquier rebelión o confusión en nuestros corazones. Feed Your Soul

None of us can sustain our soul independent of God who supplies truth suited to its growth and support. Spiritual things cannot support the body because they are not suited to the body's needs - Earthly things cannot support the soul for the same reason. Our soul was awakened to its need and began to hunger and thirst after holiness, which is its proper food. Our souls needed to be purified by God's Holy Spirit and made partakers of Christ, our living bread. Without Jesus, we would be separate from God and doomed to everlasting alienation.
 
God never inspires a need without a design in place to supply the satisfaction of that need. Those who seek salvation, can depend on being satisfied in Jesus. Christians will gradually make an eternal progression into the fullness of God. Since God is infinite, so our discovery of God's character and attributes will be infinite. God will wipe away, in the most affectionate and fatherly way, all tears from our eyes. He will remove all cause of distress and grief. Seek God constantly and He will reward you beyond your grandest imagination.
 
Today’s meditation: Find and follow God’s truth for your soul.

Ninguno de nosotros puede mantener nuestra alma independiente de Dios, que suministra la verdad adecuada para su crecimiento y apoyo. Las cosas espirituales no pueden soportar el cuerpo porque no se adaptan a las necesidades del cuerpo: las cosas terrenales no pueden sostener al alma por la misma razón. Nuestra alma fue despertada a su necesidad y comenzó a tener hambre y sed de santidad, que es su alimento apropiado. Scripture Quote: And such were some of you; but you have been washed, you have been made holy, you have been given righteousness in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God. 1 Cor 6:11(NIV)
 
Jesus preached the gospel so that sinners would be converted and join together as one church body. It doesn't matter who we have been or what we have done. When followers accept Christ's offer of salvation, we are washed by His blood. We promise to follow Jesus and to make Him the Lord of our lives. We publicly demonstrate the purification of our bodies in baptism and our spirits declare an inward connection to God and His empowerment to achieve His purposes. We understand that His Holy Spirit now dwells within us.
 
We return to life as we have known it - The only difference is our deepened certainty of God’s profound love for us. We can still sometimes fail as we seek to emulate Jesus, but we are stronger and better able to deal with life’s challenges. When fleshly desire creeps in, we are able to denounce its power over us because our conscience has been tweaked by the Holy Spirit - It nudges us into good moral choices. And God who made the Lord Jesus come back from the dead, assures us that He will do the same for us. God’s desire is to love us and enable us for good - Be grateful and worship Him!  
 
Today’s meditation: We are care-takers and sharers of God’s mercy.

Jesús predicó el evangelio para que los pecadores se convirtieran y se unieran como un solo cuerpo de iglesia. No importa quiénes hemos sido o qué hemos hecho. Cuando los seguidores aceptan la oferta de salvación de Cristo, somos lavados por Su sangre. Prometemos seguir a Jesús y hacerlo el Señor de nuestras vidas. Demostramos públicamente la purificación de nuestros cuerpos en el bautismo y nuestros espíritus declaran una conexión interna con Dios y su empoderamiento para lograr Sus propósitos. Entendemos que su Espíritu Santo ahora mora dentro de nosotros.
 
Volvemos a la vida tal como la conocemos. La única diferencia es nuestra profunda certeza del profundo amor de Dios por nosotros. Todavía podemos fracasar algunas veces cuando tratamos de emular a Jesús, pero somos más fuertes y estamos mejor capacitados para enfrentar los desafíos de la vida. Cuando el deseo carnal se cuela, podemos denunciar su poder sobre nosotros porque nuestra conciencia ha sido modificada por el Espíritu Santo: nos empuja hacia buenas decisiones morales. Y Dios que hizo que el Señor Jesús regrese de los muertos, nos asegura que hará lo mismo por nosotros. El deseo de Dios es amarnos y capacitarnos para el bien. ¡Sé agradecido y adóralo!
 
Meditación de hoy: Somos cuidadores y participantes de la misericordia de Dios.

There are many people who aren’t named in the book of life, who will be condemned to an endless lost and brutal fate. Believers know that our eternal destiny is thoroughly dependent on Christ's sacrificial death for our salvation. We can choose to become luminaries in the kingdom of Jesus Christ by sharing the Gospel message with skeptics. Sometimes we are even blessed by witnessing a sinner’s conversion from condemnation to the love of Christ - Or not.
 
We can claim an inability with words, or fear of a hostile response, if we were to explain the Gospel uninvited. But if fear for another's eternal damnation does not motivate us, we might want to reconsider our commitment to loving our neighbor as ourselves. Jesus said to make disciples of all nations and to be salt and light - Salt that loses it saltiness is no longer good for anything and light that is hidden illuminates nothing. Let’s keep the rich flavor of our faith, while shining brightly for Christ. We all have a testimony worth sharing.
 
Today’s meditation: Lead another to Christ before it’s too late.
 
Memory Verse: Remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of their way will save them from death and cover over a multitude of sins. James 5:20 (NIV)

Hay muchas personas que no están nombradas en el libro de la vida, que serán condenadas a un destino infinito, perdido y brutal. Los creyentes saben que nuestro destino eterno depende por completo de la muerte sacrificial de Cristo para nuestra salvación. Podemos elegir convertirnos en luminarias del reino de Jesucristo compartiendo el mensaje del Evangelio con los escépticos. A veces incluso somos bendecidos al presenciar la conversión de un pecador de la condenación al amor de Cristo, o no.
 
Podemos reclamar una incapacidad con palabras, o miedo a una respuesta hostil, si tuviéramos que explicar el Evangelio sin invitación. Pero si el temor por la condenación eterna de otra persona no nos motiva, tal vez deseemos reconsiderar nuestro compromiso de amar a nuestro prójimo como a nosotros mismos. Jesús dijo que hiciéramos discípulos de todas las naciones y que seamos sal y luz. La sal que la pierde, la salinidad ya no sirve para nada y la luz que está oculta no ilumina nada. Mantengamos el rico sabor de nuestra fe, mientras brillamos intensamente para Cristo. Todos tenemos un testimonio que vale la pena compartir.
 
La meditación de hoy: llevar a otro a Cristo antes de que sea demasiado tarde.

Scripture Quote:  Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. Psalms 139:23-24 (NIV)
 
The way everlasting, or the way that is right in our own eyes could be not quite so right in God's estimation. When Christians ask God to show them offensive behaviors that they are unaware of, it can be pretty uncomfortable to face those weaknesses. Nevertheless, we will grow in wisdom as a result. The distinguishing mark of a wise person is their continued pursuit of knowledge and understanding. It seems that our culture values data more than understanding and expects immediate insight by way of all the great experts available to them by way of the great big internet.
 
The Christian who cherishes wisdom is already wiser than “the experts” because he will always continue to seek additional understanding from God's Word, as well as wise council in prayer. The more we comprehend, the more we realize how much more there is to learn and the less we will want to rely on faulty personal judgements. No matter how wise a person becomes, his or her wisdom remains wholly dependent on Divine Insight. Formally or informally educated, Christians who ponder, observe, and ask God for insight, will begin to see their own faults and understand their need to constantly seek God's enlightenment.
 
Today’s meditation: We shouldn’t overestimate our own cleverness.

Cita de las Escrituras: Búscame, Dios, y conoce mi corazón; ponme a prueba y conoce mis pensamientos ansiosos. Ve si hay alguna forma ofensiva en mí, y guíame en el camino eterno. Salmos 139: 23-24 (NVI)
 
El camino eterno, o el camino correcto a nuestros propios ojos, podría no ser tan correcto en la estimación de Dios. Cuando los cristianos le piden a Dios que les muestre comportamientos ofensivos que desconocen, puede ser bastante incómodo enfrentar esas debilidades. Sin embargo, creceremos en sabiduría como resultado. La marca distintiva de una persona sabia es su búsqueda continua de conocimiento y comprensión. Parece que nuestra cultura valora más los datos que la comprensión y espera una visión inmediata a través de todos los grandes expertos disponibles a través del gran Internet.
 
El cristiano que valora la sabiduría ya es más sabio que "los expertos" porque siempre continuará buscando una comprensión adicional de la Palabra de Dios, así como un consejo sabio en la oración. Cuanto más comprendamos, más nos daremos cuenta de cuánto más hay para aprender y menos querremos confiar en juicios personales erróneos. No importa cuán sabia se vuelva una persona, su sabiduría permanece totalmente dependiente de la Visión divina. Educados de manera formal o informal, los cristianos que reflexionan, observan y le piden a Dios una idea, comenzarán a ver sus propias fallas y comprenderán su necesidad de buscar constantemente la iluminación de Dios.
 
La meditación de hoy: no debemos sobreestimar nuestra propia astucia.
